Last week I went to see the new Pink Floyd exhibition at the V&A in London. It was an incredible experience with the most amazing combination of sound and visual installations. The exhibition reflected how unique and different Pink Floyd were as a band, showing everything from design to staging for shows (including all their guitars from the 1960’s when they debut).
When the exhibition started they gave us headsets with little handheld devices that connect wirelessly to the different rooms and exhibitions you are standing in. This was so cool because you literally throughout the entire show had Pink Floyd tunes playing and setting the vibe, or connecting with the piece you were looking at. This heightened the experience completely and really differentiated it from other exhibitions I have been too recently.
There were loads of song lyrics and quotes that they had come up with over the years scattered about!
