NYFW Report: Alexander Wang SS18

This seasons Alexander Wang show was named WANGFEST. And they really did create their own party/guerilla show. It started on location at Lafayette and Centre streets in the city, and it ended in Bushwick (Brooklyn). This was a great way to show the array of cool party dresses, and outfits that could be very cool in the day and then transcend into New York City nightlife.

This was a great collection by Wang. It wasn’t anything that was crazy new, but I preferred the styling of this collection, and in general found it more wearable than the last. The way that he layered the pieces made the collection easy to imagine the customers mixing and matching all of it together, in a more simplified manner than maybe previous years. Wangs version of the deconstructed shirt was very cool. There was one that was mixed with a silk cami that was really cute and different. others with bras over the top, and others that were made into very short dresses in more of a tailored way. The whole collection was great, check out the pics of my favourite looks below!
