NYFW Report: Cinq A Sept Fall 2017

Cinq a Sept defines their brand as “the time between late afternoon and early evening when streets are awash in the warm glow of the vanishing sun and anything is possible”

This definition creates a feeling of intrigue to the brand and so does the collection. The brand debut in 2016 and has given its buyers a sense of youthful sophistication with some confidence but also quite a laid-back vibe about it. Whilst daring it’s not too much and that is what I love about its collection so much. You never feel “too much” in it but you always feel a little special.

This collection had a somewhat 40’s feel with luxurious fabrics and colours, like turquoise velvet, chocolate tones and some fur cuffs on the jackets that gave it a bit of a wow factor that was much enjoyed in the 40’s. The collection was feminine and modern with some really striking pieces and colour. I could see plenty of pieces that I would DEFINITELY use as statement pieces, and the velvet black button down dress, pinched at the waist, wow I need that ASAP!
